Scott Broaddus

Scott Broaddus is an equity partner of Irongate Capital Advisors. As a Financial Advisor and Certified Financial Planner™ Practitioner, Scott specializes in providing advice for families and private business. His practice focuses on financial planning, cash flow modeling, investment selection, as well as qualified plan construction for businesses and non-profit organizations.

Scott has been recognized by Forbes Magazine as a 'Best-In-State Wealth Advisor' for the state of Virginia in 2025. Nationally, he has served on the board of directors for Premier Resource Group since 2016 and is a member of the Cetera Retirement Plan Advisory Council. 

In addition to obtaining his CFP® certification in 2010, Scott has earned the Accredited Investment Fiduciary™ designation through the Center for Fiduciary Studies. He is also a Registered Representative (Series 7), Investment Advisory Representative (Series 66), and a registered securities principal (Series 24) through Cetera Wealth Services, LLC.

Scott Broaddus is a native of Fairfax, VA, and graduated cum laude from the R.B. Pamplin College of Business at Virginia Tech. During his first two years, he attended the University of Mary Washington where he competed in both cross country and track and field. Scott and his wife, Melissa, live in Richmond with their two children.
